En avril 2017, pour la première fois de leur longue et prestigieuse carrière, les Who interprétaient sur scène la totalité de leur opéra-rock "Tommy". Habituellement, le groupe intègre quelques titres de cet album à leurs concerts mais pour cet événement caritatif du Teenage Cancer Trust, une fondation qui vient en aide aux adolescents malades, les Who jouèrent l'intégralité des chansons. Grâce à des animations créées pour l'événement et projetées sur un écran géant, ainsi qu'à des jeux de lumières très originaux, le concert raconte la fameuse histoire du "gosse sourd, idiot et aveugle, qui joue méchamment bien au flipper" ! Et à la fin de Tommy, pour remercier la salle comble de son enthousiasme, les Who alignèrent leurs plus grands classiques..
